Today we were to go to Obudu Ranch and thus we had earlier decided to take a day off from work. However, as the trip was cancelled, we went ahead with our assignment. In the morning we joined Lisa and Evelyn to ICT. They are the 3rd team from CSC working for ICT Dept. As most of the work that we are doing for Investment Bureau are IT related, we thought it is good to keep the ICT folks in loop. We shared our revised Statement of Work with him and got some further inputs and suggestions from him.
We came back to Hotel and decided to work from here. Greg and myself got together at lunch and did further brainstorming. The Investment Bureau is engaged in activities related to Micro Finance as well. IBM is working on developing a platform and make it available for Banks lending small loans to make it cost effective. Thus, we had a conference call here at 4PM with Alexander Bloch on the topic. The idea is to facilitate a discussion with Bureau and IBM and see if they can leverage any of the capabilities that IBM is building on. Although, the internet is pretty sloppy we manage to speak to him on Skype.
No swimming practice for today as my left knee is a bit sore. Seems I went overboard with my practice yesterday. We went out to a pub named "Calabar" for dinner and dance. They made sitting arrangements for us just besides the Marina on the deck. It was a nice feeling with cool breeze and water flowing besides. Once in a while a fisherman crossed by with his small boat and nets. Most of the team-mates order fish and I guess it must have come from the same river. :-). I had rice with vegetable curry and for a change it was really yummy. Ummm I am still savoring it.
