2010-03-03: What are the odds of someone shouting "Rahul" in Calabar?

Day 6,
3rd March 2010

It was a usual day in Office with we trying to get more information on the Scope of Work and finalizing our approach on how to take things ahead. By the end of the day, we start to get the feeling that we are making good progress on it.

We went out to have lunch with Edward at a Fast Food Corner and had "Jelof Rice". Crossing the road was as chaotic as crossing the road in India. We made our way somehow in between the vehicles. Honestly, I must admit, even after doing the same several times in India, I was a bit scared to do the same here. And while I was crossing the road, I could hear someone shouting my name. Well, I would not have been surprised in India as Rahul is such a common name. But what are the odds for same in Nigeria. However, when I looked back I saw someone pointing me towards a direction and then I noticed Dan and Kei in car waving at me..

I can understand that at Hotel with all IBMers trying to post their blog and be online, internet can be very slow. However, as we had come back early I could talk to Nupur on GTalk for good 3o minutes. Afterwards, inspired by my last attempt at Swimming I headed to pool and found more people willing me to teach. Sara used to do competition in Portugal and Marijke was an instructor at Holland. Thanks all!!!

We went out for dinner at "Big Munch". The place was nice with a good bar and tables laid neatly in the open garden. However they had nothing vegetarian in particular and I had rice with ketchup and french fries. By the way, forgot to mention in previous blogs, enjoying my STAR Beer here.
