Day 4,
1st March 2010
Mr. Celestine Ogar, Director at the Bureau came to pick us up. Although, a man in his late 50s was pretty impressive and had traveled all across the globe. He had so many interesting stories to share about New York. After reaching Office, we waited at Mr. Ogar's office as our workplace was still being setup. It was interesting to see all the Offices had a Television with cable connection. We spent an hour watching news and discussing news, sports and world affairs. The day started with a meeting with the Bureau and was joined by Mr. Ada, Special Advisor and his team. When we had received our initial "Statement of Work", we had a feeling that a lot is expected to be done in 1 months time. However, in the meeting we came to know that they expect a lot more from IBM. The good feeling was that they have a lot of respect and thus expectations from IBM.
After the meeting Greg and myself got into a brainstorming session delving deeper into every requirements and framing our response on what we can reasonably do in 1 months time. Came back to Hotel at around 4 PM. Mr. Ogar is an interesting person behind the wheels. On the way back his vehicle was bumped by someone, however despite the occasional growl he was pretty cool and drove away.
In the evening we went out for a lunch at a Chinese restaurant. Everyone had their overwhelming story to tell about their day. By the time we came back to the Hotel, it was as usual midnight and time to crash.
